HP Photosmart 7520 series.exe does NOT launch on WIN 10 64bit

"HP Photosmart 7520 series" scanning application for HP PhotoSmart 7520 does not launch.

Application had worked until few weeks ago. Issue probably arose with one of the last Win 10 updates.

Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 Home (64-bit) Version 1709 Build 16299.248.

Print and scan driver is working fine.

Same problem on two different computers.

Already tried suggestions from post https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Printer-Software-and-Drivers/HP-Photosmart-7520-series-exe-quot-will-N... but it does not solve.

What happens when you try launching the printer software?

Do you see any specific screen, behavior or error message? Connect a New Printer dialog or may nothing happens?

Try following the HP Print and Scan Doctor Utility as suggested by below document and check if that may help:

If there is no change try following Step 2: Install the software patch manually, the steps shown for Windows 8 applies for Windows 10 as well.
